[Briefing] The 103th KPP Meeting Briefing (January 14th, 2019)
¡á 7 National Assemblymen Need to Leave Politics
Yesterday, JoongAng Daily, one of the major dailies in Korea, did an in-depth interview of the Korean Patriots Party ("KPP") and me. Afterwards, many people sent us many words of encouragement and support.
The KPP stance is clear, that the union of the conservatives is possible under one condition. It is not that we cannot unite with the Liberty Korea Party ("LKP"). Rather, the LKP must get rid of Kim Moo-sung, Yoo Seong-min, Chung Jin-suk, Kim Song-tae, Kweon Seong-dong, Lee Hye-hoon, and Ha Tae-keung, the seven national assemblymen instrumental in the impeachment against President Park. In addition, we must include national assemblyman Hong Jun-pyo who expelled President Park from the party. Then we will be able to unite. If they cannot do it themselves, then the KPP leader Cho Wonjin will also retire from politics along with them. If they leave, we can unite the conservatives and form an anti-Moon coalition.
